  • Collect sample preferably into brain heart infusion medium.
  • Can use normal saline if BHI is not available.
Special submission instructions
  • Do not use wooden swabs. Do not send dry swab.  Note that this is a federally regulated test.  Inappropriately submitted samples will not be tested.
  • Ship all samples with cold packs/on ice.
