Sample typePlacenta, fetal lung, stomach fluid, and/or spleen/thymus/kidney/liver ~50 g of tissue is sufficient. Fresh skeletal muscle or brain are preferred for Neospora testing.

  • Leak-proof primary container for tissues and fluids
  • Swabs must be kept moist; use viral transport media or place swab in red top tube with 1-2 ml sterile saline.
Special submission instructions
  • Tissue must be fresh, not in formalin.
  • Ship with cold packs.
