Special submission instructions
  • Provide 50-100 grams (2-4 oz.) of liver and/or kidney.
  • Frozen samples are preferred but refrigerated are acceptable.
  • Alternatively, submit liver biopsies (50 mg wedge samples).
  • Fresh or frozen samples should be shipped with sufficient cold packs.
  • If only a small sample is available for testing, contact the lab prior to shipping.
